IFK Göteborg broke their drought in the eighth round of the allsvenskan. The crowdless part of the derby had a dramatic end. It was a coronastämning on Gamla Ullevi when almost a crowdless half was played between IFK Göteborg and Örgryte on Tuesday afternoon. It was not the same intense derby fest as the day before. But what felt like a transportsträcka to the final signal became a match with dramatic final minutes. IFK Göteborg protected their 2–1 lead from Monday and seemed to succeed all the way. Then Örgryte's captain Daniel Paulson suddenly scored 2–2 in the 86th minute and Örgryte had a point in a few minutes. In the 90th minute, Felix Eriksson became a match hero for IFK Göteborg. When Örgryte did not get the ball out of their own penalty area, Eriksson hit the ball on the volley and scored 3–2 for Blåvitt. The 21-year-old made his first allsvenskan goal. – I've been chasing my first goal and we've been chasing our first win. It was great and very important, says Eriksson. Did you have a goal gesture planned? – No, it was just adrenaline and relief. Eriksson thinks that Blåvitt did not play well before Örgryte equalized. – I think we become long, drawn out and passive, unfortunately. We give the initiative to them. They bring in a big striker and get some pressure in the box. We are a bit disappointed that we give up the match so much, but as luck would have it, we got in 3–2 in the end. It was the most important. The match was played out in front of empty stands because it did not finish on Monday evening. It was broken several times due to disturbances on the stands and finally the decision was made to play it out without spectators. The victory tastes just as good for Eriksson anyway. – The most important thing was three points. Even if it became super special, it's a lot of joy, says he. He has never played a match on two different days before. – It was special, but we're in our bubble. I have my routines before the match and tried to do the same thing. IFK Göteborg's victory means that the team goes ahead of Örgryte in the table, up to the qualification spot. – Luckily, we managed to find some desperation after their 2–2. We filled up well and could push in a winning goal. But we don't need to apologize for sitting here as winners, says Blåvitt's assistant coach Joachim Björklund.
